Bio story

"It isn't just any artist that can keep school children on the edge
of their seats in awe by drawing with chalk for 30 minutes."
The Valley Journal    Decatur, Alabama

Cliff Beaman

Art has been an integral part of artist/educator Cliff Beaman's life since he was challenged to excel in art by his sixth grade art teacher in Washington
State. After his family moved to Idaho, his art experiences were further
strengthened throughout his Junior High and High School years.

After graduating from college and moving to Jacksonville, Florida, Mr. Beaman taught both in public and private schools, elementary through college. Mr. Beaman received his Master's Degree in Art Education and Constructive Design from Florida
State University.

During these years Cliff Beaman put together an art assembly program called "The History of Art" which he performed in schools all over the southeastern United States.

Thirty-five minutes later after starting from a blank canvas, artist and
educator Cliff Beaman puts the final touches on his "Excellence!" multimedia
program.

Using cartoon characters he created, animation, slides of famous works of art, and a live demonstration of art he presented his programs to elementary and secondary students, inspiring them to become aware of the many kinds of art around us.

After teaching for several years, Cliff Beaman started a graphic arts business to help businesses with art design, logo creation and brochure design. He also used his cartooning ability with business, professional and civic groups.

Along with being involved with various kinds of commercial art, Mr. Beaman has been performing
hour-long chalk art presentations for more than twenty-five years, which this web site describes. As a professional artist, cartoonist and educator, Cliff Beaman has presented over 4000 performances to schools, churches, and civic groups and is still going strong.
